Sometimes I see something so often, I don't really look at it anymore. This afternoon, this witch's ball hanging in my bathroom caught my eye. I was struck by how much its shadow has moved since last May when I first tried to capture it with my camera (unsuccessfully). Today, once again, I tried to get a picture of the light turquoise green image it cast on my shower wall, but then I turned around and realized how beautiful the ball itself looked, glowing in the window as it caught the remaining drops of the day's golden light.

Fading light
