"Mommy, why did Kai dump my oatmeal into his bowl?"
"Because you weren't going to eat it."
"Oh.... But I wanted it!"
"Sorry! I thought you were done."
"But I wanted it!"
"I will get you some after your nap."
"Okay... But why did he eat it???"

Leaving Isabelle's house:
"I miss Isabelle."
"You really like her."
"Yeah, I hug her."
"You can hug her the next time we see her."
"Okay. I love Isabelle!"

Walking out on the deck to address the neighbor's dog:
"Doggie, what are you woofing about?"

Driving home from the Farmer's Market:
"Hey Mama, look at those balloons!"
Long pause
(In a quiet little voice) "Maybe I could have one?"
