This was left at our door by our May Day fairy (I know who it is though). There's a sweet little wooden elf in there that gave it away. :) There were also some pixy stix--how appropriate.
More ideas for May Day can be found at my friend Chris's website:

Here's the sweet poem that accompanied our basket:
Once there was a woodland elf
who said to himself
It's the 1st day of May
What shall I do?
Why I'll bring fresh flowers for you.
And when they're done, a seed or two.
For summer
Flowers to see you through.

May Day Surprise
Happy May Day!
This was hanging on our door this morning from our May Day Fairy. Some friends and I drew names and are secretly leaving May Day baskets at each other's doors.
Happy May Day to you!!
Anyone else do May Day baskets when you were growing up? Share your stories..

A Brother's Love
Tea's birthday was on Monday and Kai realized at the end of the day that he hadn't gotten her a present. So he decided he wanted to make her a fairy costume. We ran to the fabric store; he picked out the perfect fabric. It had to be very soft!! And I could not convince him of a different color or anything on the sale rack!! Then onto ribbon and thread. It was so darned cute!!
We got home, he drew it out, and we cut out the top. He wanted to sew it right then but it was bedtime (he could hardly sleep).
He sewed it in record time this morning. I don't know how long it will last but I don't care. It was one of the sweetest things he's ever done for her!!
